Once glamorous women of the jazz age were looking for transcendence and culture, from Europe, from love. Now Lana uses the same glamour, but as girls, we put love first so we get hurt, we wear short skirts to get noticed, we play video games, we want to be taken to the Hamptons by gorgeous men. Genius or a sad attempt at defining the American Girl?
